DELTA school district international programs

Located 30 minutes from Vancouver, 20 minutes from the airport, and touching the USA border, Delta has 31 schools in our three towns (Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen). We welcome international students from age 5 to 18 years old in short term, full year, and summer camp programs. Delta staff run and monitor the custodianship and homestay program personally with 24 hour service (we don’t contract homestay care to private businesses). We run monthly sightseeing activities such as ski trips to Whistler, whale watching, camp excursions and more. Delta staff assist students with university and college applications and run university fairs. With continuous intake, students can start at the beginning of each month all year long.

Delta has low ESL populations with 90% English-speaking students in many schools, so international students will learn English quickly in immersion environments. Delta ranks consistently among the top school districts in British Columbia for high graduation rates and outstanding results on government examinations. Delta graduates are accepted in all major universities and colleges around the world.

COMMUNITY OF DELTA SCHOOL DISTRICT

Delta residents are active people who enjoy water sports, outdoor activities, horseback riding, mountain biking, boating, and more. Golf is a passion at our SIX golf courses (our mild climate allows for golfing year round). Aviation enthusiasts enjoy visiting our small Boundary Bay Airport for shows and events. DELTA SCHOOL INFORMATION

The Delta School District has 31 secondary and elementary schools located in three communities of Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen. Delta has very low ESL populations with 90% English-speaking Canadian students in many schools. International parents can access their child's attendance and report card marks daily via the internet using the free "Parent Connect" service.
