University College Cork (UCC) is a world-class university. It was founded in 1845 and combines a rich tradition of teaching, research and scholarship. Undergraduate Courses

UCC has four Colleges and they deliver almost 70 undergraduate degree programs.

  • Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences
  • Business and Law
  • Medicine and Health
  • Science, Engineering and Food Science

Postgraduate Courses

Options for postgraduate study at UCC are offered across the four Colleges. UCC offers a range of taught postgraduate programs at Diploma and Masters Level as well as a range of Research Masters and PhDs. Approximately 140 taught postgraduate programs across the four Colleges are available to international students.

English Language Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree – IELTS: 6-6.5 and above, TOEFL: 80-90 and above
  • Postgraduate degree – IELTS: 6.5-7, TOEFL: 90 & above

Student accommodation

There are five purpose built student apartment complexes run by UCC Campus Accommodation, all situated within walking distance of the main campus.

Rooms in Campus Accommodation complexes are offered to applicants by a lottery. The application window for Campus Accommodation is due to open in February and will remain open for one month.

Once the application window closes it will not be possible to apply or join the waiting list. The first offers are issued soon after the application window closes. Further offers will be issued later in the year.

Successful applicants must pay €300 deposit to secure their booking. Rent is paid in two installments, with the first due before the start of the academic year. These installments include electricity and utilities
