The Statute of the Catholic University

The Catholic University is an academic community that contributes to the development of studies, scientific research and the preparation of young people for research, teaching, public and private offices and free professions.

The Catholic University fulfills these tasks through adequate higher education and an education informed by the principles of Christianity, in respect of the autonomy proper to every form of knowledge, and according to a conception of science placed at the service of the human person and of coexistence civil law, in accordance with the principles of Catholic doctrine and in coherence with the universal nature of Catholicism and with its high and specific demands for freedom
