d’Overbroeck’s is a leading independent day and boarding school in Oxford, UK. We teach students aged 11-18 across our three school sites: Years 7-11, The International School, and the Sixth Form. 

We are consistently ranked among the top schools in the UK for academic progress and we achieve this by encouraging our students to think strategically, analytically, creatively and imaginatively. Here students will find an intellectually challenging and inspiring environment wherein they receive expert guidance on how to make the most of their experience with us considering their long-term goals.

Our school structure enables students to benefit from everything a modern school has to offer, whilst also learning in specific environments tailored to their studies and age group. Students can take part in whole-school productions, concerts, co-curricular activities and academic programmes. They can access a range of specialist facilities both onsite, including our new Arts Centre, and further afield, such as the University of Oxford’s sport facilities. At the same time, each of our three sites offer a unique and supportive atmosphere in which students can flourish. A d’Overbroeck’s education sets students up for life as resilient, well-rounded individuals ready to thrive in their university or professional lives. 

The Sixth Form

The Sixth Form is the largest of our sites and effectively prepares students for university and beyond. At the Sixth Form, 35 A-Level subjects are currently on offer, plus a comprehensive academic enrichment programme to stretch our students beyond the standard curriculum. The broad range of academic subjects that students can access makes d’Overbroeck’s an ideal place for bright, ambitious students to achieve their full potential academically, but also a place they can thrive outside of the standard curriculum. We offer a range of co-curricular activities for students to get involved in across drama, music, and sport, and an extensive list of clubs and activities. Additionally, we offer a packed programme of trips, excursions, and regular social events.

The International School

The International School enables international students aged 11-16 to experience the British education system and study a range of academic programmes. Students come from all over the world to study with us in our vibrant and friendly school. Our focus on English as an Additional Language, co-curricular activities, our TRACK (Theory of Research, Active Citizenship and Knowledge) academic enrichment, and the Sixth Form and University Progression are just some of the benefits available to international students who join us. 

Years 7-11 (secondary)

Years 7-11 at d’Overbroeck’s is a co-educational day school, drawing students from the local area and further afield, thanks to the shared transport network with a group of other central Oxford schools. Years 7-11 covers a broad curriculum from Year 7 through to GCSE. Students are encouraged to enjoy learning, to be curious and think outside the box. We value choice, engagement and enjoyment, and offer plenty of opportunities for students to try new things and develop their talents. 

Inquisitive
A strong spirit of intellectual enquiry is present throughout the school, and our committed teachers encourage academic ambition and challenge students to stretch themselves. We expect high standards of commitment and effort from our students and have a track record of strong GCSE and A-Level results. Our staff work closely with each student to make sure they are getting the advice and support they need, with a healthy balance of freedom gd structure. Our school is high-achieving and academically rigorous, but not at the expense of fun, laughter and enjoyment. Students are encouraged to be curious, to explore, and to think independently.
