Russian Russian language and literature in Kazakh schools.In 1966 , the Aktobe Pedagogical Institute was founded, which consisted of two faculties (physics and Mathematics and philology), which trained 250 people in the following specialties: physics and mathematics, Russian language and literature, Russian language and literature in Kazakh schools.

In 1990, the Institute was named after the first Kazakh professor-linguist Kudaibergen Zhubanov.

On May 7, 1996, by the Decree of the Government of Kazakhstan No. 573, the Institute was reorganized into the Aktobe University named after K. Zhubanov.
